What is Launching Leaders?

Moses 7:18
“And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart
and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness, and there was no poor among them.”

The vision of Launching Leaders is to weave the ideal of Moses 7:18 into our lives.

‘The Art of the Start’   by Guy Kawasaki

The time tested, battle hardened guide for anyone starting anything.

“The truth is that no one really knows if he or she is an entrepreneur until he or she becomes one – and sometimes not even then. There really is only one question you should ask before starting any new venture: “Do I want to make meaning? ..spend more time doing rather than endlessly learning what to do:

1.         Decide how you can make a difference

2.        Develop a mantra rather than a mission statement

3.        Get your product into the marketplace

4.        Define your business model – how you will make money

5.        Compile lists of milestones, assumptions and tasks.

‘Great Work Great Career’ by Stephen R. Covey and Jennifer Colosimo

How to create your ultimate job and make an extraordinary contribution.

“A person with a great career makes a distinctive contribution and generates a strong feeling of loyalty and trust in others. Anyone, regardless of title or position or profession, can do these things. Fame, fortune, unusual gifts – these are not the issue. A great career does not rise from the need for outside affirmation, but from within you, from your own curiosity, from your own unique mix of talents and passions.”

To create a great career:

1.         Understand how to define and then build what you personally would term a ‘great career’.

2.        Know the answers to two questions:

a. What will be my contribution to the world?

b.  How will I deliver or make that contribution?

3.        Learn how to master the mechanics of the job search process so you maximize your

opportunities.
